Jacobus Borough’s 6th Annual Community Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

TIME: 6:30 p.m.
PLACE: Jacobus Community Park Come out & join us for for an evening of fun with your family, friends and neighbors and share in the warm spirit of the Holiday Season.
Watch for Santa to arrive by fire truck!
Warm up around a crackling fire! Guess the number of lights on the tree to win a prize, and Kids under 12 can also enter to win the chance to turn on the lights for the 1st time of the season!
Join in the singing of Christmas Carols and your favorite holiday songs.
Come & Hear the "White Rose Chorus", local 'barbershop singers'! They will be leading the carol singing this year!
Enjoy seasonal refreshments of Cookies, Gingerbread, Hot Chocolate, Cider, Coffee and more.
Prizes will be awarded to the winners of the ‘Exterior House Decorating Contest'.

EXTERIOR HOUSE DECORATING CONTEST In conjunction with Jacobus Borough’s '6th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting’ ceremony there will be an ’Exterior House Decorating Contest’. Homes will be judged beginning Monday, December 5th through Thursday, December 8th. NO REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED!! If you would like to be included in the contest simply make sure your lights are turned on during the judging period & your home will be included in the contest.
The winners will be announced at the tree lighting event on December 10th.First, Second and Third prizes will be awarded. Winners will receive a ’tree trophy’ to display in their yard during the Holiday Season, along with a gift certificate. You do not need to be present to win, but hope all will come out & join in the evening's fun!!
Judging will be for Jacobus Borough residents only. Tree Trophies must be returned to the Jacobus Borough Municipal Office @ 126 N. Cherry Lane, by January 15, 2012.
Jacobus Community Park is located on the Southern end of Jacobus at School Street & the Susquehanna Trail.
